Hwang Jae Gyun says he decided to marry T-ara's Jiyeon because of her laugh.

On the April 1st episode of Kian84's YouTube channel 'Life84', baseball player Hwang Jae Gyun opened up about his newlywed life after he and Jiyeon tied the knot in December of last year. He expressed, "It's very good. I lived alone before, and I felt a little empty when I went home after a game. Now, when I go home after a game, Jiyeon is there acting cute."

He continued, "She has a lot of aegyo, and she's the cute type. People don't even know. She's the type to have a lot of aegyo to family. That's why my dad really likes her. I get home all tired, and she's there to greet me with aegyo and it's pretty great."

As for why he decided to propose to Jiyeon, Hwang Jae Gyun shared, "When I wasn't doing well in baseball was when I was the most sensitive. It takes a while for me to get over it, but there was a day that I met with Jiyeon on a day that I really didn't do well. I did so bad that I was extremely angry, and I felt I should listen to Jiyeon's voice at the end of the game." He then shared that they began laughing over a silly joke, adding, "Jiyeon's laugh is a bit unique... After hearing Jiyeon's laugh, my annoyance all just melted away. I decided to marry her after all my frustration went away after hearing her laugh."
