Ha Yeon Soo responded to news reports that she made her debut in Japan through a Japanese Gravure magazine.
On April 27, the actress clarified that it is not true that she debuted as a Gravure model in Japan. The actress wrote on her Instagram calling out the Korean entertainment news articles that reported that she made a debut as a Gravure model to paint a negative image of her.
She elaborated that in Japan, "グラビア (Gravure)" magazines refer to a large category of magazines that include a pictorial and criticized the journalists who included provocative titles to mean otherwise.
She added that these journalists failed to include a proper explanation in the pictorial with Weekly Young magazine as she shared that in Japan, various magazines, including Weekly Young magazine and Animation magazines have a special segment where they interview individuals such as actors, actresses, news anchors, idols, and more.
Ha Yeon Soo pointed out that she had also participated in a fashion show last year in Japan, but there weren't any news articles covering that story despite the fact she had made an official debut in Japan through the fashion show runway.
Lastly, she requested that news media outlets correct the information in the articles they released regarding the actress making her debut as a Gravure model.
Meanwhile, Ha Yeon Soo debuted in Korea in 2013 through the movie 'Very Ordinary Couple' and became known through various works such as 'Monstar,' '4 Legendary Witches,' and 'Rich Man.'
Then in November 2022, Ha Yeon Soo announced she will begin activities in Japan after signing a contract with 'Twin Planet' management company.
