On April 13, KST, it was revealed that BTS member J-Hope is scheduled to begin his basic training on April 18 by enlisting with the New Recruit Training Center Division A in Gangwon-do.
Earlier this week, J-Hope assured fans that he would not be enlisting this week and hinted at a live broadcast planned for his fans. Just as he promised, on April 15, KST, J-Hope logged onto Weverse Live one final time before leaving for his enlistment and said goodbye to the fans.
During his Weverse Live session, J-Hope expressed his gratitude toward fans and shared his thoughts about his enlistment. He said, "To be honest, I felt like 'what do I do' about a week ago. But now I feel okay to the point I wonder if I should feel this way. Maybe I became indifferent."
He added, "I've been thinking a lot lately. I thought 'time passes by so fast,' that it's already time (for me to enlist)." J-Hope assured fans that he will be back safely and that he had taken a long rest before his enlistment. He shared, "I've been eating and sleeping well."
Fans took to social media to share their messages hoping that J-Hope will return back safely after his mandatory military service.
Meanwhile, J-Hope will be the second member of BTS to begin his mandatory military service and will be discharged around October 17, 2024.
Let's meet in 2025. 💜
Looking forward to the upcoming OT7 OST.
