'You Quiz on the Block' apologized to viewers about the broadcasting accident in the latest episode.
In the new episode that aired on February 22, the tvN entertainment program 'You Quiz on the Block' faced difficulties as they had to stop the live broadcast and air a rerun.
In the newest episode, Jung Je Il, the music director of 'Parasite' and 'Squid Game' and Jang Mi Ran, the legendary weightlifting national athlete, appeared as special guests.
Jang Mi Ran, the first Korean medalist in female weightlifting, appeared on a variety talk show for the first time after retiring. In this episode, she talked about her time training as a national athlete and how she started weightlifting. She explained, "When I was younger, I loved eating, so I started gaining weight. My mother tried to put me on a diet, but I think she gave up. My first weightlifting coach was an acquaintance of my father. And he told me I had talent."
She continued, "When I went to the weightlifting training center when I was in the third middle of middle school, the boys there saw me and would say I'm 'so big.' So I got hurt and left. But my parents encouraged me to go back during winter break and started training. It was really fun learning. People complimented me because I was really good, even though it was my first time. So that's how I started (weightlifting)."
Jang Mi Ran also explained the endurance and perseverance she needed to train as South Korea's national weightlifting athlete. She shared, "Of the 365 days, 300 days are really hard but then 65 days are so good."
After Jang Mi Ran's segment and before Jung Je Il's segment, 'You Quiz' came to a stop and began airing the episode that was broadcasted last week. And on the bottom of the screen, 'You Quiz' announced through a banner, "We regret to inform you that the broadcast of 'You Quiz on the Block' will be discontinued due to the broadcaster's circumstances. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to your viewing experience. We will do our best to prepare for the broadcast so that this does not happen again in the future."
why did you go into such details about the interview with the weightlifter, when the article was actually about the broadcast mishap? madness
