SM Entertainment announced their future plans through a recent video titled "SM 3.0: Producing Strategy - Multi 'Production Center/ Label' System."
SM Entertainment co-CEOs Lee Sung Soo and Tak Young Jun explained the agency's ambitious plan to launch phase 3.0 of SM Entertainment. Through this phase, SM Entertainment's IP creation and production to the global market will be expanded, alongside the advancement of the company's music publishing business, multi-label system, fandom economy business, metaverse business, and more.
In the video, the two CEOs explained the company's plans to launch new artists groups in the coming year. According to the plans of SM 3.0, SM Entertainment is looking to debut a new girl group and launch a virtual idol group, along with NCT Tokyo and a new boy group.
However, CEO Lee Sung Soo's latest statement about NCT has brought confusion to fans. Lee Sung Soo stated, "NCTzens can become new NCT members," which has triggered a discussion in a popular online community, Instiz.
Korean fans commented, "So I can be an NCT member?" "Did he think we would say 'Wow,' and he happy?" "He's just saying anything now," "Just hire me as an employee, I don't even wish to be an NCT member," "Aren't most NCTzens girls, lol," "I think they already picked an NCTzen before," and "What is he saying?"
