On January 4 KST, BLACKPINK's music video for "DDU-DU DDU-DU" officially exceeded a whopping 2 billion views on YouTube! This makes them the first K-Pop group to ever accomplish the feat, and the K-Pop group with the most views on a single music video.
Released on June 15, 2018 as the title song from the girl group's first mini-album 'Square Up', the video reached the 2 billion view count 4 years and 6 months later.
Among overall K-Pop singers, "DDU-DU DDU-DU" ranks just behind Psy's global hit "Gangnam Style" which currently has 4.6 billion views. Among K-pop groups, BLACKPINK's "DDU-DU DDU-DU" ranks on top, just above another BLACKPINK MV, "Kill This Love" which has 1.7 billion views.
Congratulations to BLACKPINK!

The song is catchy as hell and the video is pretty cool too. Doesn’t surprise me at all that it has so many views.
