Former Lovelyz member Baby Soul (Lee Soo Jung) revealed why she decided to appear on 'Show Me The Money 11' and how it felt to be completely edited out from the broadcast.
Baby Soul recently had an interview with JTBC Entertainment News marking the release of her Christmas season song "The Miracle of Christmas."
During the interview on this day, Baby Soul revealed how she decided to appear on 'Show Me The Money 11.' She explained, "My company suggested (that I go on it). I decided without much hesitation, knowing that it is always better to take action than to remain idle."
She elaborated, "I spent a month preparing, hoping that I would be judged by a lenient judge. I wasn't nervous or overwhelmed during the first round, but I was disqualified. I had hopes of advancing further."
Baby Soul's clip was uploaded on YouTube, but she was completely edited out from the broadcast. Regarding this, Baby Soul shared, "I wasn't disappointed. I also don't plan to appear in the next season of 'Show Me The Money.' I'm happy with the experience."
Meanwhile, Baby Soul debuted with the group Lovelyz back in 2014 and promoted as the main vocal and rapper of the group. Then in November of 2021, all members of Lovelyz except Baby Soul decided not to renew their contract with the agency. Currently, Baby Soul is promoting as a solo artist under her real name, Lee Soo Jung.
Lee Soo Jung released the new single 'The Miracle of Christmas' on December 19 at 6 PM KST.
