The students of Korea University released another "Hot Body Calendar" to raise money to be donated.
About 30 individuals, including alumni of Korea University, participated in this year's calendar photoshoots.
Park Seung Geun, the College of Engineering student council president who planned this event, explained on October 7, "We prepared the second calendar with the idea of putting meaning in each photo that is beyond just simply adding cool photos."
The 30 individuals who participated in this year's calendar photoshoot include even the middle-aged graduates who wanted to help raise funds that will be donated to those in need. It is said that the participants have worked hard for half a year to build muscles and tone up for the calendar.
What's more remarkable is that deaf models of Parastar Entertainment, the first entertainment company specializing in managing disabled models, also participated in this calendar photoshoot. This is to convey the message that people with disabilities can also participate in projects to donate rather than those who just receive donations.
The calendar contains 12 themes ranging from photos dedicated to the Comfort Women, the victims of the Japanese military atrocities, and photos relaying messages to protect the environment. Additionally, some of the photos include celebrating Korean culture, where models pose with the Taegeukgi (Korean flag) and Hangeul.
Korea University's "Hot Body Calendar" will be sold through the online bookstore Yes24. All proceeds will be donated to teens over the age of 18 who are preparing for independence after leaving protective facilities such as orphans and childcare facilities.
This is wholesome and also a very unique way to raise money, I hope they do well
