Ma Dong Suk, also known as Don Lee, won the 'Actor of the Year' award at the '12th Beautiful Artist Awards' on October 20. During his acceptance speech, he revealed that he had already tied the knot with actress Ye Jung Hwa, whom he has been dating since 2016.

On this day, Ma Dong Suk came up on the stage to accept his award and shared, "Thank you for inviting me to this wonderful event. I am very thankful and very happy. Thank you for giving me such a meaningful award even though I am still lacking as an actor and producer. I will gratefully accept this precious award as a meaning of encouragement."

He added, "I will repay everyone with more enjoyable and awesome action films and better energy in the future. I want to thank my colleagues in the film 'The Roundup 2' and my beloved wife, Jung Hwa."

The two have been dating since 2016, overcoming the 17-year age difference. With the two celebrities steadily continuing their relationship, many have wondered when they would get married. 

Previously, Ye Jung Hwa accompanied Ma Dong Suk to the premiere of the Marvel film 'Eternals' held in LA last year and introduced her as his "Fiancé." With this, Ma Dong Suk and Ye Jung Hwa's marriage status garnered more attention.

In response to Ma Dong Suk's acceptance speech at the recent award show, the actor's agency responded, "This is the first time, Ma Dong Suk has referred to Ye Jung Hwa as his wife in public." When asked about their wedding ceremony and their marital status, the agency responded, "Yes, they are legally married. They registered their marriage last year so they are a married couple. Their schedules were busy so they plan to hold a ceremony in the near future."

Ma Dong Suk debuted in 2004 through the film, 'Dance with the Wind' and has made an impression in various films such as 'The Roundup,' 'Train to Busan,' 'Along With the Gods' trilogy, and more.
