Korean cosmetic brand Etude revealed its new model through their official social media.
On October 25, Etude posted a photo and asked fans to guess who the next model for the brand would be. A photo of the new model looking to her side was posted with the caption 'Guess Who?' and the brand announced that a new campaign for 'Etude's 'Blushed Rose' with the idol will be revealed on November 1.
As soon as the photo was revealed, fans were able to guess who the new model was - LE SSERAFIM's Kazuha!
While fans were excited that the rookie idol was selected to represent the largest and most popular Korean cosmetic brand, K-netizens started a debate online about whether Kazuha's image fits the brand's concept.
K-netizens commented, "I really like Kazuha," "She's so pretty," "Etude? Chose her? I wonder if they're trying to change their brand image," "I wish they selected NewJeans," "I think she would also fit Neutrogena's image too," "I feel like Kazuha's image wouldn't fit the colorful image for this makeup brand," "I think she fits that pink hue so I think she fits the brand," "Congrats, she's so pretty, I'm excited to see her pictorial," "She has that vibe that Etude likes though," "Her face is so pretty so she is good for this brand," "I think she isn't really perfect for this brand image although she is so gorgeous," "She doesn't fit the image of Etude I feel," and "She's so pretty, she fit the brand so well."
What do you think about this?
I mean, to be fair, Krystal Jung was their muse for a few years and she’s known for her chic and classy image. I don’t see why Kazuha wouldn’t suit their brand, or rather, why the brand wouldn’t suit kazuha. If anything, this could be the start of an image change for Etude house :)
