South Korea is recovering after experiencing one of its heaviest rainstorms in 80 years. The heavy rains caused severe flooding in many low-lying neighborhoods in Seoul and the metropolitan area, damaging thousands of homes.

Inspired by their idol's sincerity and caring personality, fans of Kim Taehyung, aka V, are often at the forefront when it comes to participating in philanthropic activities.

On September 2, Taehyung's international and Korean fans collaborated and made a generous contribution under his global fanbase 'BTS V UNION' to Hope Bridge to help overcome the damage caused by the heavy rain around the central region of Korea. 

Established in 1961, 'Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association' is Korea's leading disaster relief organization devoted to helping those suffering from unexpected losses and alleviating problems caused by disasters. 

As Taehyung continuously sets excellent examples of philanthropy, it is not surprising to see his fanbases following in his footsteps. Such acts of goodwill have been practiced by his fans for years, not just on special anniversaries related to him but also during international holidays.
