BTS's Jimin donated 100 million KRW (~70,311.13 USD) to support the education of those who are in need in society.

It was reported that Jimin donated 100 million KRW to the Gangwon-do Office of Education. According to reports, Jimin made a private donation because he did not want his donation to become known to the public. The Gangwon Office of Education also declined to comment on Jimin's donation in a phone call with Newsen on September 28 and instead stated, "It is difficult to confirm the facts."

The Gangwon-do Office of Education operates the Gangwon Education Scholarship Foundation, where they develop projects to foster talented individuals from the underprivileged. It is expected that Jimin's donations will be used to support these talented individuals from the underprivileged.

Jimin, who made his debut with BTS in 2013, has consistently shared his positive influence and good deeds in various fields. He has constantly been supporting and making donations to improve the welfare of the children in need and improve the educational environment for the underprivileged.

In 2018, Jimin donated money for the cost of school uniforms for his juniors in his alma mater, Busan Hoedong Elementary School. In 2019, he donated 100 million KRW to the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, supporting students from low-income families. He also supported 16 schools in Busan, including the Busan Arts High School and Geum Sa Cho Elementary school.

Then in 2020, Jimin helped replace 1,200 desks and chairs for his alma mater, Busan Arts High School. In August of that same year, Jimin donated another 100 million KRW to the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation.

In July of last year, Jimin donated 100 million to Rotary International, a non-profit international volunteer organization to help children with polio worldwide. On his birthday, October 13  last year, Jimin also donated more than 100 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation and became a member of the Green Noble Club, which is the club for members who made large donations.
