Kang Daniel recently dropped his pre-release single “TPIR (feat. MIYAVI)” ahead of his Japanese debut EP ‘Joy Ride’ and revealed October Japan tour plans.
“TPIR” (short for “The Pain Isn’t Real”) is about how no matter how difficult things have been, remembering that this isn’t the end. The samurai guitarist MIYAVI reunites with Kang Daniel for another collaboration after their first song together “Hush Hush”. In their latest track, MIYAVI’s guitar playing is comfortable yet moving, and Daniel shows a new side to himself.
A lyric video for the song was released through Warner Music Japan. The vlog-like video was taken when Daniel visited Tokyo to shoot the artwork for his Japanese debut EP ‘Joy Ride’.
The video gives a glimpse of Daniel’s natural side as he enjoys sightseeing through Japan. Netizens found his reaction to an unexpected price tag hilariously relatable.
In addition, Daniel will hold his first Japan tour ‘JOY RIDE THROUGH JAPAN’ to commemorate the upcoming EP, starting off with stops at Zepp Namba and KT Zepp Yokohama on October 15–16. Further details are on the DANITY Japan fan club website.
In other news, Kang Daniel is recovering from COVID-19 and has suspended his immediate activities, including Summer Sonic and the Mnet ‘Street Man Fighter’ press conference. Upon his recovery, Daniel is scheduled to perform at festivals in Korea.
