Rising into further popularity due to his recent role in 'Extraordinay Attorney Woo,' Kang Tae Oh is a multidimensional actor. He debuted in 2013 and is part of the actor group 5urprise. Before his breakout role, he acted in various dramas.

"Flower of Queen" (2015)
A young and blossoming actor took part in the weekend drama series, "Flower of Queen," acting as Heo Dong Gu, the eldest son of Sam Shik, who has been living alongside their family friend, Yang Soon. Yang Soon is the adoptive mother of Yi Sol (played by Lee Sung Kyung), who has a budding romantic relationship with Dong Gu. You can see the cute Kang Tae Oh and his chemistry alongside Lee Sung K'' (201yung throughout the drama! 

 "You Are Too Much" (2017)

Kang Tae Oh has also acted in "You Are Too Much", in the role of Lee Kyung Soo. He is Yoo Ji Na’s (played by Uhm Jung Hwa) son. At the age of six, he lost his vision in an accident and was abandoned at an orphanage by his mother. He kept waiting for his mother, and he eventually was able to take piano lessons and learn the piano. He uses the alias "Yoon Sang Ah" when giving private piano lessons and playing music at events. While playing the piano, he meets his mother's impersonator, Jung Hae Dang (played by Goo Hye Sun and eventually by Jang Hee Jin), who sings along to the tune, and realizes that her voice is uncannily similar to his mother’s voice. 

"The Tale of Nokdu" (2019)

He takes on the role of Cha Yul Moo and eventually Prince Neungyang, who is the nephew of the monarch who appears to lead a modest life. He is a man well-recognized for his good looks and culinary skills. He treasures Dong Joo (played by Kim So Hyun) because they were engaged before her family's crisis. He pulls off a coup and ascends to the throne of Joseon. His fantastic acting alongside protagonists Nok Du (played by Jang Dong Yoon) and Dong Joo created good chemistry.

"My First First Love" (2019)

He plays the role of Choe Hun in the drama "My First First Love." Although Hun had known Tae O (played by Ji Soo) since elementary school, the two didn't become friends until Hun dropped out of college. He hails from a wealthy family, like Tae O, but his father, a college professor, has cut him off financially. He keeps working toward his goal of being a musician and actor. Later, he starts to become close to Ga Rin (played by Choi Ri) and develops a very cute romantic relationship with her.

"Run On" (2020-2021)

He plays the very adorable role of Lee Yeong Hwa, who is a happy and innocent college student. He is a college student studying art who contributes his works to a neighboring coffee shop. He expresses his emotions via his paintings in a unique way. He will later be able to warm Dan Ah's (played by Soo Young) cold and uptight heart, through their shared unique taste in arts. Their relationship is very favored among K-Drama viewers, being one of the most loved second-lead couples.

"Doom at Your Service" (2021)

He is part of the famous romance fantasy Korean drama, "Doom at Your Service," where Kang Tae Oh plays the role of Lee Hyun Kyu, Joo Ik's (played by Lee Soo Hyuk) roommate who is a café owner. He's in a love triangle with his roommate, Joo Ik, as both of them fall in love with Na Ji Na (played by Shin Do Hyun), who is a web novelist.

"Extraordinary Attorney Woo" (2022)

Probably his most famous role to date, he is part of the hot legal drama, "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," playing the role of Lee Joon Ho, an employee and part of the very competitive legal team, Hanbada, and eventually becomes a love interest of the amazing female protagonist, Woo Young Woo (played by Park Eun Bin), who is a rising rookie lawyer at Hanbada Law Firm. Their great acting and chemistry are indeed swoon-worthy, and they became a famous loveline called the "Whale Couple."
