BLACKPINK Continues To Make Spotify History With Their New Song “Pink Venom.”
BLACKPINK's "Pink Venom" made an excellent debut by becoming the first Korean song in history to reach No. 1 on Spotify's daily Global Top Songs chart, as well as the first Korean song to spend three days at No. 1.
The number of Internet users and fans who listened to "Pink Venom" every day on Spotify was terrific. At the end of the first week of counting, they had reached about 41,286,215 reproductions debuting at # 2 on the weekly list of Spotify Global.
With this, "Pink Venom" became the highest-peaking song by an Asian female act on Spotify's worldwide weekly chart and the highest for an Asian act this year.
BLACKPINK is now the only girl group in history to achieve this historic milestone on Spotify's weekly chart.
According to data provided by the platform, BLACKPINK's "Pink Venom" surpassed BTS's "Dynamite" (39,904,687 views), and the two songs, along with "Butter," became the only songs by kpop groups that reached the highest peak of all time on the list.
