Pretty rare chart achievements going on. A groups knocks their nearly 5 month old single that was still charting in the top 5 down one spot, still in the top 5, to make room for their new single. A rookie group has three songs in the top 10 and two in the top 5. The top 10 is all ladies. 5 of the top 10 slots are two rookie groups. You also see three generations of girl groups represented in the top 10 with 6 of the 10 slots being 4th gen. Also, one has to really acknowledge not only the power of how one of Yoo Jaeseok's TV shows can create a project group that captures attention, but that he and his people come up with songs for those groups that are rightly successful. Congrats to SNSD. I don't know if we will hear from them again anytime soon, but one can hope that if we are patient maybe we will hear from them again at their 20th anniversary. Also Blackpink fans must be happy to finally have new music coming and to see what their girls are doing in breaking new ground for K-pop girl groups internationally. One wonders how the 4th gen will take advantage of doors opened for them by legends like SNSD and Blackpink.
