Two brand new Fri-Sat TV series went head to head, premiering simultaneously on July 29.
According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of MBC's anticipated noir crime series 'Big Mouth', which aired on July 29, recorded an average nationwide viewership rating of 6.2%. At the same time, the first episode of SBS's new Fri-Sat series 'Today's Webtoon' recorded an average nationwide rating of 4.1%, trailing closely behind.
MBC's 'Big Mouth', starring Lee Jong Suk, Girls' Generation's YoonA, and more, tells the story of an ordinary lawyer who becomes entangled in a dangerous scheme. In order to save himself and his family, he must become the biggest swindler of all, facing off against those above the law in society.
SBS's 'Today's Webtoon', starring Kim Se Jung, Choi Daniel, Nam Yoon Soo, and more, tells the story of a young woman who enters the workforce as a newbie at a webtoon publishing company. The drama is a remake based off of the popular manga series, 'Sleepeeer Hit!'.
