Almost a month ago, Kim Taehyung, aka V, kickstarted Chapter 2 of BTS's solo era by traveling to Paris after receiving a personal invitation from CELINE's creative director Hedi Slimane. He wowed at the Fashion Show and was credited by the media for bringing in a 'never-before-seen' crowd. 

On July 21, Taehyung sent fans on a trip down memory lane by releasing a dreamy vlog through Instagram reels that showed a montage of his Paris experience. The video's vintage effect gave off a nostalgic feel and reminded fans of his self-directed music video for 'Winter Bear.' 

Like the old soul that he is, Taehyung chose the 1968 French song 'Je suis vous tous qui m'écoutez' by Jeanne Moreau as his video's soundtrack.

Paris appears to be the perfect city for Taehyung to express his quirky and free-spirited personality. The beauty of the city of Paris and Taehyung was an ideal fit.

Taehyung also posted several photos from his Paris trip that brought to life his popular nickname "Myeong Dong-young," which means “Your face is a masterpiece, your personality is a fairy tale, your life is a movie.”

His short, cinematic reel rightfully received a huge amount of love and racked up 20 million views in less than 9 hours, surpassing a now-deleted reel by Jungkook, which took more than 11 hours. 

He now holds the record for the fastest artist and the fastest Asian to gain 20 million views on an Instagram reel. 

While Instagram reels and videos are categorized separately due to the difference in discoverability, length, and reach, Taehyung holds the record for the fast reel and fastest video by an artist and Asian person to surpass 20 million views, the latter held by his Jazz video which took 13 hours to reach.
