On March 22, a Pann user posted a thread saying:

"I'm not an ARMY but I am writing this post because I hate people who do this in the YouTube comment section. This video is G-Dragon's live performance video, and they started mentioning BTS when no one was even comparing the two. 

And even in the comments that are not problematic, they were picking a fight while mentioning GD. When I told them to stop, they were like, 'Stop, you ARMY!"

However, some VIPs' on SNS noticed that they saw some of the comments that the netizen posted and that the screenshots were taken months ago and are being used now to shade VIPs. Also, the netizen didn't provide the video link, so it became more suspicious.

The netizen had claimed that those comments were under G-Dragon's live performance video and made it look like BTS was the main theme of G-Dragon's live performance video. Also, the comments were already clear, they misrepresented them on purpose.

However, it turned out that the first comment they posted, which meant to be 'not problematic but attacked by VIPs' is in BTS's video. In fact, nobody said anything against it. It's still the top comment.

The 2 comments that said:

9 0: "During this time, they were compared to EXO. These days, they're compared to BTS. Doesn't mean that they are still at their peak because other groups are being compared to them despite the generation change?"

R나르: "Right now BTS is number 1. In 2010, EXO was number 1. GD was also number 0(timeless)."

Contrary to the netizen's claim, those comments are in the video when G-Dragon was at JTBC News for an interview. During the interview, the news mentioned that even though the generations change, they are still popular and that they are timeless. 

This is why people in the comments mentioned they are timeless. It's not meant to shade another group.

Those comments are still the top comments.

The rest of the comments are not found. However, the way the users wrote, it's apparent that the users didn't mention BTS out of the blue but replied to the Armys who posted comments about BTS under BIGBANG and G-Dragon's videos. It's seen that some of them replied directly to the users:

"There are a lot of comments mentioning BTS; it's an undeniable fact that Bangtan are a world class boy band but there are no trendsetter who was able to lead not only Korea but the whole Asian continent like GD win terms on fashion, music and pop culture. It's completely different than having a global fanbase. If Bangtan is a global boy band, then GD is a trend setter. Not everyone want to copy Bangtan's music nor their fashion. However, everyone wants to copy GD's fashion and music. There was never an impact like his that drew in both the public and everyone in his work field."

This comment clearly mentions it's Armys who praised BTS under BIGBANG's video.

And these comments were a direct reply to the Armys who compared BTS to BIGBANG and shaded BIGBANG and G-Dragon.
