Super Junior's Shindong will be absent from the group's upcoming event in Japan due to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

On March 26, Label SJ stated, "Shindong underwent PCR testing to prepare for an overseas activity, but on March 26, he was diagnosed with COVID-19 again. We ask for the understanding of fans as he won't be able to participate in 'Super Junior Japan Special Event 2022 - Return of the King' in Japan."

The label further confirmed Shindong took 3 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and he'll be in self-quarantine and take a break from his schedule.

In related news, Shindong also tested positive for COVID-19 in November of last year.
