Korean netizens showed strong feelings against singer Henry when he was appointed as an ambassador for the police's 'School Violence Prevention.' This was because of the recent controversy surrounding the singer.

On the 16th, the Seoul Mapo Police Station appointed Henry as the PR ambassador for school violence prevention. The police station planned to make posters and videos to display them on outdoor electric billboards, and the singer was also to visit schools in Mapo-gu and downtown areas such as Hongik University Station to conduct school violence prevention campaigns.

The PR ambassador is 'unpaid volunteer work.' Henry is said to have readily accepted the activity. An official from the Mapo Police Station said, "The public relations ambassador is an activity that celebrities with busy schedules volunteer for free." He continued, "Even though Henry has a busy schedule, he actively expressed his willingness to be a part of it."

Henry expressed his determination and willingness stating, "I want to visit the school in person. I will upload the videos to my social media account."

However, this plan was met with opposition because Henry was allegedly deleting comments criticizing China on his YouTube channel but left comments that criticized Korea. Some netizens visited the Mapo Police Station website and criticized, "Is it correct to use a person who tolerates theft of culture and distortion of history?" and "Is it right to give tax money to someone who is Pro-Chinese?" Due to the overload of traffic, the website server went down.

With growing public opinion against Henry being appointed as the new ambassador of School Violence Prevention, the Mapo Police Department is considering whether to withdraw the appointment of Henry's public relations ambassador. An official from the Mapo Police Station said, “We are looking at the situation seriously."
