Entertainers Kim Young Chul and Shin Dong Yup have tested positive for COVID-19, and a number of variety programs are likely to undergo schedule adjustments in light of the stars' temporary absences.
On March 9, TV personality Kim Young Chul confirmed via his Instagram that he is currently in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19 via a PCR test. A special DJ is expected to fill in for the star on the radio program 'Kim Young Chul's Power FM' for the next week.
Also on this day, MC Shin Dong Yup's agency SM C&C confirmed with media outlets, "Shin Dong Yup has tested positive for COVID-19 via a PCR test as of today. Shin Dong Yup has completed up to his third booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and is currently feeling healthy. He will be taking all necessary measures per health authorities' guidelines."
Shin Dong Yup is currently an MC for variety programs including 'My Little Old Boy', 'Animal Farm', 'Amazing Saturday - Doremi Market', 'Immortal Song 2', 'SNL Korea season 2', and more.
