V's 'Christmas Tree' becomes the 1st Korean OST in history to debut on Billboard's HOT 100 chart

BTS's Kim Taehyung, aka V, makes his debut on Billboard's Hot 100 US chart during the most challenging time of the year for new songs to chart. 

'Christmas Tree' debuts at #79 on the Billboard's Hot 100 chart, making it the 1st and only Korean OST to ever enter the chart. 

The record-breaking OST for the Korean drama series 'Our Beloved Summer' also becomes V's 1st solo entry on the chart.

V accomplished this without any promo and while facing tough competition from mainstream Christmas songs flooding the charts.

Taehyung becomes the 3rd soloist of BTS to enter the Hot 100 chart, after members J-Hope and Suga. 

This comes after 'Christmas Tree' became the #1 best-selling song in Billboard's US Digital Song Sales chart, with over 23,500 copies sold on it's debut week.

Kyunghee Kim, one of the songwriters who worked on 'Christmas Tree' celebrated the news and shared Taehyung's latest achievements on the Hot 100 and Digital Song Sales chart on Instagram.

Kim Taehyung did that during Christmas week, the hardest week to chart a new song. Did that with no official MV, an unpromoted OST, and no collab whatsoever. That's the most impactful K-artist out here.
