Mnet's 'Street Dance Girls Fighter' recently concluded, and its MC Kang Daniel was thanked by the teams involved in closing remarks after the finale.
In CP Kwon Young Chan’s latest interview, he was asked about the new charms or strengths of the masters or MC who became hot topics. He went on to thank Kang Daniel by saying:
"As the production team leader, I have lots of things I’m grateful to Kang Daniel for. Kang Daniel was the first choice as MC with ‘SWF’ as a new program. It’s not just because he used to be a b-boy and has street dance battle experience but also because he understands the street dance scene and battle culture well so [we thought] he’s the right person. Because of other schedules, he was in a difficult condition but he readily accepted the production team’s plans. Not only did he give reactions based on his experiences. Although there were many things that didn’t appear on broadcast, but during filming he was sensibly considerate and caring of the dancers during battles."
Previously, the CP thanked him in the show’s press conference with:
"I would like to express my thanks to Kang Daniel-ssi for making time in his busy schedule. He truly likes and loves dance and the dance scene; and continued this role from SWF to SGF with this heart, so I would like to thank him."
The 'SGF' dancers took to Instagram to celebrate the show’s end with MC Kang Daniel and thank him:
“Best mc, thank you”
“Shook hands with Niel-oppa today. I’m not gonna wash my hands”
“Took a photo and shook hands with Niel-ssi. Assa! Thank you. You've worked hard”
Lee Seoyeon from the crew MisMolly went a step further and expressed her appreciation on her Twitter, revealing she originally started dancing after seeing Kang Daniel on 'Produce 101 Season 2', and saying it was an honor to meet him on 'SGF'.
In addition, Kang Daniel received good reception from viewers. His emceeing had a trending post and netizens commenting:
167. I'm a muggle, but watching today, I was thinking that he's so pretty ㅋㅋㅋㅋ His emceeing improved too, so I've grown fond of him ㅋㅋㅋ
214. The gif of him throwing his cue cards is so cute ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ His back and forth with the ‘SWF’ dancers was fun too ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Ah, but the staff were giving him his cue cards in realtime. He really worked hard.
226. I liked how his emceeing isn't exaggerated. This time as well, he would deliver water to all the teams before the battles. He takes care of others in the background, and his emceeing feels friendly as well, so I've grown fond of him. For the next while, he'll probably come to my mind whenever it's a Tuesday ㅋㅋㅋ
In other news, Mnet’s 'Street Man Fighter' is in the works for later this year. Meanwhile Kang Daniel’s Disney+ original drama 'Rookie Cops'premieres on January 26.
He is a really good MC. He improves much and he has good attitude
