BTS's Kim Taehyung, aka V, has forever cemented himself in Korean music history with his latest achievement as a soloist.

'Christmas Tree,' his original soundtrack for the Korean drama series 'Our Beloved Summer,' has debuted at #1 on Billboard's US Digital Song Sales chart.

V achieved this remarkable feat with an unpromoted song released during Christmas week, the toughest week of the year to chart, due to mainstream Christmas songs re-charting.

With 'Christmas Tree' debuting #1 on the chart, Taehyung has accomplished three things: 

• his 1st solo song to debut at #1 
• the 1st solo song by a Korean soloist to debut at #1
• the 1st Korean OST to debut at #1

While his bandmate Suga recently debuted at #1, he did it with a collaboration song with Juice WRLD, making V the 1st and only one to achieve the record with a solo song. 

Taehyung is also the only Korean soloist to chart two OSTs in the Top 10 of the Digital Song Sales chart, after his previous OST 'Sweet Night' debuted at #2.
