Because of Jimin's visit, The Jeju Tourism Organization is launching an event to boost tourism in the places he visited
BTS Jimin's trip to the beautiful island of Jeju is sparking more attention yet again.
On the 11th of January, Korean media outlets released some exciting news regarding Jimin's visit to Jeju. Previous reports revealed that Jimin had visited Jeju after the PTD CONCERT in LA and a short self-quarantine period. His visit to the island turned out to be eventful and very fruitful indeed.
Jimin visited several tourist attractions like the Seolkumbadang beach, Snoopy garden, and the Nuwemaru street during his stay. He posted his adventures on social media platforms Instagram and Weverse. It was also recently revealed by the Moonsso restaurant where he ate that they found him to be the most well-mannered celebrity they had encountered and that he had humbly left them a signed autograph.
Jimin, who was on vacation, may have not thought much of his visit as he was relaxing and enjoying himself. However, soon after, there emerged testimonies of small businesses flourishing due to an influx of tourists to the island thanks to the visit. Several Korean media outlets like KBS, SBS and JIBS, and foreign ones reported on this and the good news that brought relief to Jeju residents in the pandemic period.
As more and more visitors flew in, artists Y0ngmini and Kang Sage revealed a splendid Jimin artwork at the Nuwemaru street organized by Jeju Tourism Organization. Illustrator Y0ngmini even revealed himself to be a proud Jimin fan as he posed at the photo zone. Due to popular demand, they had done a mural of Jimin, who took a photo at the street, and it became a photo zone where fans could take commemoration photos. After revealing it open to the public, fans flew in by the droves to proudly take pictures and videos in front of the artwork and the places where Jimin visited. The photos were then posted online.
Jimin had revived Jeju, and as a result, the tourism organization decided to launch an event to encourage more tourists to the island and especially to the places Jimin visited.
The event involves taking photos in the places visited by Jimin and uploading them on the website (www.visitjeju.net). Among the contestants, 200 people will be randomly selected by the organization to win certification prizes. The organization announced on the 12th that they would be expanding to introduce more themed content in order to bring in more tourists. It is worth noting that when a BTS member visits a place and something is done in their honor, BTS agency HYBE always removes it. However, in Jimin's case, since his visit was organized for the purpose of healing the people by the Jeju Tourism Organization, it was readily accepted. The public reacted positively to his visit, which helped boost the local economy spreading good influence.
Park Jimin helps the promotion of Korean culture, Korean food, clothing, and even tourism, as seen in this case. This is wonderful to see and a testament to his global influence and impact and proof that he is indeed Korea's favorite idol. He has ranked first in brand reputation rankings for three years, Gallup preference survey for two years, and continues to prove his brand and It Boy status in every field where he emerges on top!
