The '2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards' took place on December 11.
Eligible nominees released music from October 29, 2020 and October 31, 2021. Pre-voting for Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10 began on November 4 at till November 22 and main voting for Worldwide Icon of the Year began on November 25 up till the broadcast of the awards ceremony.

I don't know why I feel disappointed, I know mnet is trash. I really thought that since BTS was barely active this year, there would be some diversity with the awards. I won't go into detail about who I think deserved each award, just this: The fact that IU didn't win any of the daesangs after the year she had proves these awards are biased af.
