On the December 15 broadcast of SBS's 'Baek Jong Won's Alley Restaurant', MC Kim Sung Joo apologized to IVE's Wonyoung as soon as they met!
On this episode, IVE members Wonyoung, Yujin, and Liz appeared as guests to try out the foods on 'Alley Restaurant'. First, the IVE members introduced themselves to viewers, and then Wonyoung revealed, "I am the same age as MC Kim Sung Joo's son. For that reason, there have been so many news articles about us."
Kim Sung Joo agreed, "It's true. I got to know Wonyoung because of all the articles about her and Min Kook."
Some of you may remember Kim Sung Joo's son Kim Min Kook from the popular MBC variety program, 'Dad, Where Are We Going?'. The show originally aired from 2013 until 2015, and garnered love from viewers around the world for the sweet and relatable families, including all of the adorable children. In fact, the show was so popular during its run that many Koreans know the names of the children who appeared on these shows better than the names of current K-Pop idols!
Fast forward to earlier this year, where one news program named the 'Most Famous Koreans Born in 2004'. This list named Olympic archery gold medalist Kim Jae Duk, South Korean national table tennis player Shin Yu Bin, the then IZ*ONE member Jang Won Young, and Kim Sung Joo's son Kim Min Kook. This headline created quite the buzz online, leading many to speculate whether or not Jang Won Young and Kim Min Kook knew each other.
Now, according to Kim Sung Joo on 'Alley Restaurant', "My son has always felt very bad and wanted to apologize to you." Hearing this, Wonyoung responded, "No, that's okay. Those news articles were interesting."
Did you know that IVE's Wonyoung was the same age as Kim Sung Joo's son Min Kook from 'Dad, Where Are We Going?'?
This is such a nothing article.
Like, why should anyone apologise for being the same age, or others speculating if they knew each other?
