BTS's Jimin is the first Korean artist to top the iTunes charts with all his solo songs in these two countries

Jimin has become the first and only Korean artist to not only enter but also rise to the top of iTunes charts in Venezuela and Turkmenistan with all four of his solo songs, including his first-ever self-produced song, 'Friends.'

All of Jimin's solo songs, namely Filter, Lie, Serendipity (Full Length Edition), and Intro: Serendipity, have displayed exceptional performances on the charts since their release due to their lyrics, Jimin's honey vocals, and the extreme skill in artistry that the songs exude. All songs keep getting praise from non-fans and even celebrities from around the globe. Currently, all the solo songs hold streaming records on Spotify in their respective albums of release and keep extending the success to other charts, such as iTunes.

The very first song by Jimin to attain #1 on iTunes charts in both Venezuela and Turkmenistan was Filter. It was not just Jimin's first song but also the first BTS song and the first Korean song to achieve this milestone. Filter rose to number 1 on Venezuela's iTunes chart on August 30 and on Turkmenistan's iTunes chart on April 8. The total number of countries with #1 for Filter on iTunes now tallies at 114, the highest number for any B-Side track in the history of iTunes.

The song has also recently surpassed 196 million streams on Spotify as of September 5. It thus set a new record as the Fastest Korean B-side song, unpromoted Korean solo Song, Korean Male solo song, and Most Streamed Korean B-side released after 2018, to attain this feat on the platform. It is also the most-streamed solo song from the 'Map of the Soul: 7' album, and the second most-streamed solo song by BTS overall, on the platform.

In addition, Filter crossed 69 million streams on YouTube as of September 2. Here, it also extended its record as the most-streamed Korean solo audio track in YouTube history.

On Anghami, the biggest music streaming platform in the Arab world according to Globenewswire, Filter surpassed 1 million streams as of September 6, remaining to be the most streamed Korean solo song on the platform. Filter also extended its record as the First & Only Korean soloist to achieve this goal on Anghami.

On August 31, Lie peaked at #1 on Venezuela's iTunes chart, bringing the total number of countries where the song has attained number 1 to 40. This was the second song by Jimin to achieve a #1 in the country. Previously, the song had also risen to number 1 on the Turkmenistan iTunes chart on April 9 of this year.

Apart from the achievements on iTunes, Lie also recently achieved 147 million streams on Spotify as of September 1, thereby extending its record as the most-streamed solo song from the Wings album and second most-streamed song overall, only second to the album's title track. Furthermore, the song's official audio track surpassed 17 million streams on YouTube on September 6, continuing to be the most streamed and liked non-title track from Wings.

Serendipity (Full Length Edition) has also taken the same strides on the charts. It achieved #1 on Venezuela's iTunes chart on September 4, bringing the cumulative #1 positions to a total of 44 globally. This was the third solo song by Jimin to peak at #1 on the country's iTunes chart. Serendipity had also reached a new peak of #1 on the Turkmenistan iTunes chart on April 11.

On Spotify, the song surpassed 156 million streams on September 6. With this new achievement, Jimin now set a new record as the First and Only Korean soloist to have 2 Korean songs achieving this many streams on Spotify's history, with the other song that has already crossed this mark being Filter.

Similarly, Intro: Serendipity reached number 1 on Venezuela iTunes as the fourth solo song by Jimin to do so, on September 5. The song has now held the number 1 position on iTunes charts in 37 countries around the world. On the 12th of April, the same achievement had been witnessed on the Turkmenistan iTunes chart for Intro: Serendipity.

In addition, the track achieved a new milestone of crossing 94 million streams on Spotify as of September 3, while its audio track on YouTube surpassed 5 million views on September 6.

Friends, Jimin's first self-produced song, which he performed as a sub-unit song with Taehyung, has also made the same notable achievements on iTunes. It has clinched the number 1 position on iTunes charts in both Turkmenistan and Venezuela. The achievement for Turkmenistan was on April 13, while that for Venezuela was on September 5. The song now has a total of 53 number ones on iTunes worldwide.

The song Friends has also surpassed 118 million streams on Spotify as of August 31.

On Soundcloud, Promise surpassed 290 million streams. It currently holds the record as the most-streamed song of all time in the history of the platform. On the other hand, Christmas Love also surpassed 36 million streams on the same platform.

Having achieved an all-kill on both Venezuela and Turkmenistan iTunes charts, as a soloist and as a producer, Jimin is now the First and Only Korean act to enter and top iTunes charts in both countries. He was also the first Korean act to ever enter as well as top iTunes in both countries with Filter, on both occasions. He also keeps extending his records in streaming on various music platforms such as YouTube, Anghami, Soundcloud, and Spotify.

With his talent and skill that sees him put out nothing but exceptional music, whether it has to do with writing and producing the track or only performing it, Jimin always captivates hearts and leaves a lasting impression that sees his music stay on the charts long after the release dates. His songs also keep recording new milestones every other day as new listeners fall in love with them, and fans simply can't get enough of them. It is expected that new milestones will continue to be reported for all these tracks in the coming days as well.

Congratulations Jimin.
