Brave Brothers has been clearedof forgery and embezzlement charges.

According to reports on June 29, police decided not to pursue charges of forgery and embezzlement against Brave Brothers. After months of investigation into Brave Brothers and Brave Entertainment employees, police could not find sufficient evidence for the producer and CEO's alleged wrongdoing. Samuel Kim filed a lawsuit against Brave Entertainment in May of 2019 to dissolve his exclusive contract, and the trial is ongoing.

Samuel Kim previously claimed the trust between himself as an artist and Brave Entertainment was broken, citing wrongful performance contracts and settlement-related issues. However, the label asserted there was no unfair treatment, but rather, Samuel Kim had unilaterally refused to proceed with all of his schedule without justifiable reason. In May of last year, Brave Entertainment filed a lawsuit against Samuel Kim for damages in the amount of 1 billion Won ($882,729.39 USD).

In the midst of the legal dispute, Samuel Kim filed a criminal complaint against Brave Brothers, claiming the producer and CEO had forged private documents and embezzled funds. The decision to not send the forgery and embezzlement case to prosecution is expected to affect the direction of Samuel Kim and Brave Entertainment's ongoing lawsuit.
