BTS’s Jimin has proven his popularity in Japan as he continues to gain more celebrity fans from the “Land of the Rising Sun.”

On May 20, 2021, in a broadcast of the late-night radio show “Tokyo Speakeasy,” Japanese singer, songwriter, and actress Kyoko Koizumi revealed that she wears a ring that has letters of “JIMIN” on it.

She further revealed that she discovered BTS because of “Dynamite,” and her favorite song is “Fly to My Room” from BTS’s album “BE. She further talked about enjoying being a fan.

Kyoko is not the first and only Japanese celebrity who has revealed their support for BTS’s Jimin. The daughters of actor and weather forecaster Minoru Kihara, as well as actress and former gravure idol, Chiharu Niiyami, revealed to be Jimin fans during the Japanese variety show “Dancing Sanma Palace.”

Japanese social media influencer Reika Oozeki has mentioned Jimin several times in her Instagram account.

Japanese author and translator Aoko Matsuda praised Jimin in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, as well as actor and actress Yoshiko Ganbareruya and rock band member Sho Ayanokoji from Kishidan.

Kiriko Isono quoted Jimin’s Twitter post during Fuji TV’s variety show “Hayaku Okita Asa wa.”

Japanese national champions Misato and Takeru Komatsubara paid homage to Jimin’s solo song “Filter” at Stars in Ice Japan Tour 2021.

Jimin is also the only Korean male that became the top choice of Japan’s Generation Z as an “influencer” for their future careers.

Despite the absence of solo activities and promotions in Japan, Jimin continues to prove he is one of the most popular idol in the archipelago.
