Gold House is a nonprofit collective of Asian & Pacific Islander founders, creative voices, and leaders. In celebration of the Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Gold House released the 2021 A100 List, which is the API honor of the 100 most impactful leaders of the past year.
The committee selected various incredible people who have made an impact and change in the past year in various fields and professions. The A100 List highlights A1 Honorees, the most impactful APIs per categories such as writer and director Chloe Zhao in the Entertainment category, author, host, and executive producer Padma Lakshmi in the Lifestyle category, ABC7NY reporter CeFaan Kim, NBC Asian America Reporter Kimmy Yam in the category for Media & Journalism and more.
On this list, BLACKPINK is named a Gold House 2021 A100 Honoree, while BTS is being inducted into the Hall of Fame as the boy group has been recognized for the third time on the list.
A100 Honorees are voted on through a rigorous process with a panel of multicultural icons. The panel consisted of actress-singer Lea Salonga, Mastercard Executive Chairman Ajay Banga, Panda Express Co-CEOs Andrew and Peggy Cherng, multi-hyphenate Michael B. Jordan, Disney Executive Chairman Bob Iger, and GLAAD CEO Sarah Kate Ellis, among others.
The Icon judges included individuals such as Bob Iger, Daniel Dae Kim, George Takei, Lea Salonga, Lisa Ling, Michael B. Jordan, Michelle Yeoh, and more. The process involved 21 top API nonprofit groups and hundreds of Gold House members.
