Stone Music Entertainment is in the process of being shut down by CJ ENM.
According to reports on April 20, Stone Music Entertainment reported its closure on the 8th, and an insider stated CJ ENM is working on reorganizing the company's subsidiary labels. CJ ENM is currently the umbrella company for Stone Music Entertainment, MMO Entertainment, Off the Record, AOMG, H1GHR Music, and Jellyfish Entertainment.
In response to the reports, CJ ENM confirmed, "We've liquidated Stone Music. We've done so to heighten efficiency in management and provide more effective services to our artists. Stone Music will continue as a music distribution brand."
Artists under Stone Music Entertainment include g.o.d's Son Ho Young, SG Wannabe's Kim Yong Jun and Kim Jin Ho, Davichi, Eric Nam, Roy Kim, and TO1, and it's reported they'll likely the artists will be moved to a different label under CJ ENM.
Stay tuned for updates.
