Jimin’s solo song “Filter” has officially become the best-selling solo song and B-side track from BTS's album Map of the Soul:7 in the United States, and it is the fastest solo song from MOTS:7 to sell more than 300,000 units in the USA.
On March 25, 2020, Jimin achieved yet another major milestone with his Map of the Soul:7 solo song “Filter.” It was reported to have sold more than 300,000 units in the highly competitive music market in the United States.
“Filter” becomes the first and only solo song from MOTS:7 and third among BTS’s songs from Map of the Soul:7 album to have achieved this amazing feat. Among MOTS:7 songs, “On” and “Black Swan” have earlier sold more than 300,000 units.
“Filter” remains its popularity and strength in the USA, more than one year from its release last February 21, 2020. The song continues to set records in the major USA charts and platforms.
On March 16, “Filter” has officially spent one full year on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart. It became the third BTS’s solo song to achieve such. As of the week of March 27, 2021, Filter remained in the chart at #14 on its 53rd week.
In 2020, “Filter” became the best-selling solo song on Amazon. It has now surpassed 136 million streams on the world’s largest music platform, Spotify.
