The month of February has been filled with numerous accusations of Korean celebrities being school bullies. From singers to actors, various celebrities have been identified as alleged bullies as victims step forward, claiming to expose their actions.
However, there were many instances in which the individual claiming to be the victim was revealed to have created false information and spread malicious rumors.
This was the case for The Boyz member Sunwoo as well. On February 23rd KST, Cre.ker Entertainment officially announced that they would take legal action against the false rumors that spread in various online communities. The agency stated, "We are making a statement that the rumors of The Boyz member Sunwoo's that circulated various online communities and portal sites have been proven to be false. The actions such as the school violence that have been mentioned in various deleted posts are not true."
The agency continued to state, "We are conducting ongoing data collection to take legal action against the groundless rumors and the spread of false information, insults, and malicious post that have been posted online. We will strengthen the protection system for our artists and take more active action against the indiscriminate malicious comments and false rumors."
Previously, a post was created in an online community claiming that The Boyz member Sunwoo was a school bully. The netizen who created the post accused Sunwoo of physically abusing his middle school girlfriend and causing her to attend school with bruises, drinking underage, and making dirty jokes.
Since then, the post has been deleted from the online community, and the user who created the post also deleted their account.
I swear those who accusing kpop idols of bullying them after a group reaches their success is the epiphany of wanting attention and clout
