Music critic and KMA committee Kim Youngdae wrote a review on all seven BTS members in his column, and what he wrote for Jungkook will make fans' hearts swell with pride.

Kim Youngdae praised Jungkook's clean and flawless vocal techniques as well as his ability to express emotions through his singing without overdoing it. He also mentioned Jungkook's solo song 'My Time' as the most impressive song from Map Of The Soul:7, and Jungkook is ready for a solo album after his outstanding deliverance of 'My Time.' He wrote:

"After I heard 'My Time,' I felt like it wouldn't be long until we get to hear the solo album of Jungkook. The song that I want to select as the most impressive song from not only assured the vocal ability of Jungkook that's been showcased through so many BTS music and various covers, but it also reaffirmed my judgment towards Jungkook's vocal ability. Not only as the main vocalist of BTS but made it possible for me to imagine a future soloist, especially who can shine as the current contemporary pop and R&B singer in the K-pop scene."

Kim Youngdae also praised Jungkook's ability to express emotions through his singing, especially in his smash hit 'Euphoria.' He then mentioned how much he anticipated Jungkook's new work with his voice alone. Kim Youngdae wrote:

"Euphoria is a signature song that exemplifies his (Jungkook's) controlled but refined vocal. Through the arrangement of a refreshing synthesizer, Jungkook, who's got the voice of a young boy, perfectly expresses the heart-fluttering moment and the overwhelming desire just before falling in love without any excessive decorative touch. This is the reason why I wait for a new work that's made by his voice alone."

Choi Won Seok, the former main vocal trainer for Big Bang and 2NE1, also praised Jungkook as one of K-pop's top-class idol vocalists. After Kyuhyun, Taeyang and Taeyeon were mentioned, the former vocal trainer went on to say, “I think BTS Jungkook also sings very well.”

Here’s a compilation of praises and appreciations for Jungkook’s vocals from producers, critics, professional singers, vocal coaches/trainers, and more.
