STAR CONTRIBUTOR
Song of The Year nominated “Filter” by BTS's Jimin continued to soar in the United States as the song remained to be the best-selling Korean solo song according to Billboard.
On December 22, Billboard released its weekly tabulation of 25 best-selling digital singles in the world music genre in the United States, also known as, World Digital Song Sales. Filter climbed four spots this week and ranked 4th.
Filter is once again the highest-ranking Korean and Asian solo song in the chart. It is also the longest-charting among songs released by BTS in 2020 as it spent 41 weeks therein tied with Jungkook’s My Time.
Elsewhere, the other BTS songs that made it to the chart are Life Goes On (#1), Blue and Grey (#5), My Time (#7), Stay (#12), Euphoria (#13), Telepathy (#17), Dis-ease (#19) and Fly to My Room (#20).
Filter also ranked 4th most-streamed Kpop song of this year on Spotify. It is noteworthy that such an unpromoted song ranked the highest among BTS’s b-side and solo tracks. Once again, Genius Korea also recognized Filter as the 20th most popular Kpop song of 2020 and the 5th most popular BTS song.
Congratulations #JIMIN! Filter SOTY 😍
