As the world gears up for the end of one of the darkest years in recent history, BTS member V has stressed the importance of thanking the ones that have made the year 2020 worthwhile. More specifically, recognizing the frontline workers and medical staff who have shown exemplary courage, dedication, and hard work in times as such.
On December 25th, V took to Weverse to spread some holiday cheer among his fans. After spending some time chatting and playing games, V expressed his wish to trend a few nice phrases so everyone can feel a bit more content in this festive season.
He wrote: “Shall we trend something on Naver search ranking? I'll write down the words for you... 2020 everyone worked so hard... How does that sound?” V added: “There are many people who have worked so hard. It (the text for the moment) can't be too long, but if I say concisely that all the medical workers and all worked hard, wouldn't the army and I and everybody who sees feel better?”
After realizing that sentences do not trend on Naver and opening up for suggestions, the hashtag: #2020년_다들_너무_고생하셨습니다 (#EveryoneYouAllWorkedSoHardIn2020) was finalized.
To no surprise, the beautiful hashtag topped the search-rankings of every age demographic across the platform. V, who saw the trend, wrote: “Thank you! The people who saw it probably felt good, right? It was so nice. I am leaving for a schedule now.”
Inspired by V’s sweet and thoughtful gesture, the International fans of the star trended #EveryoneYouAllWorkedSoHardIn2020 on Twitter. Through the hashtag, the fans acknowledged the healthcare providers as the true heroes of 2020 and thanked the ones who brought them joy and hope during the pandemic.
Throughout the year, V has shown commendable kindness towards his fans. Some of the most notable ones being him aiding a fan in finding a blood donor for their loved ones and organizing several challenges to entertain the fans during their quarantine. V’s fans have also shared their utmost admiration, recognizing him as their most devoted support system in 2020.
