Kang Daniel appeared on three covers of the November 2020 issue of Arena Homme Plus to model Paul Smith's 2020 A/W collection in celebration of the designer’s 50th anniversary.
In the interview accompanying his pictorial, Kang Daniel discussed his love for gaming, a pastime well known by his fans considering he is a friend of professional League of Legends players.
He shared how he gives back to the gaming community as a hobby:
I often play indie games and I like them a lot. Maybe that’s why I have a lot of interest in game developers. Even while watching movies, I liked the directors on the other side of the screen more than the actors, and while reading manhwas, I liked the artists more than the main characters. That’s why I sponsor the production cost so that I can support indie game developers. It’s not a lot of money, but I want to support them. It’s not like I did something very big, but it’s exciting. I hope that it will help in game development, and good games will come out.
Kang Daniel went on to discuss various other topics such as how he has changed over the course of a year, the messages he wants to convey through his music, how he overcomes slumps during promotions, and more.
In other news, after his special appearance for Korea’s National Foundation Day, Kang Daniel has been attending music festivals and recently made a surprise appearance at 2021 S/S Seoul Fashion Week in partnership with MBC’s 'I Live Alone'.
I always admire Kang Daniel. He has such an angel's heart.
