With Nizi Project season 1 finishing, season 2 will be airing  this Friday on Nippon TV. New information has been released involving the show, showcasing that there will be a popularity based vote involved.

The format may be similar to Sixteen’s where the fan poll had a top rank & a bottom rank. However for Sixteen, these votes didn’t exactly determine who debuted in Twice (although it is worth noting that none of the trainees that didn’t make the final lineup were in the top ranks, excluding Somi).

In addition, JYP has yet to confirm the official lineup number for the final group. Some fans speculated it would be 7-9, while others speculated that even with eliminations taking place, all 13 would be debuting in the final lineup (similar to Stray Kids).

The most likely case is that as long as a trainee has the star quality & like ability to back themselves up, they will definitely debut. And when JYP (or any survival show) doesn’t announce a final lineup number in the beginning stages of a survival program, the lineup will either be bigger than expected, or everyone in the program will debut together.
