According to the article, JYP Entertainment implemented a strict rule of not accepting birthday gifts from fans so the donor thought of supporting a good cause under TWICE's name instead.

For Tzuyu's birthday today, the unnamed fan gave 2 million won. Actively donating in the foundation since 2016 under TWICE's name, the total amount of donations so far is 26 million won which funded treatments for several cancer patients.
