On April 18, the first trial for Choi Jung Bum (28) took place at Seoul Central District Court. 

The ex-boyfriend of Hara (28) is facing charges for causing bodily harm, blackmailing, coercion, along with destruction and damage of property. 

Back in September 2018, Hara claimed she has been assaulted by Choi. Dispatch also revealed Choi threatened Hara with sex videos. Choi was ultimately indicted without detention.

According to Star News, Choi's lawyer denied the accusations by Hara, stating, "He admits and is reflecting on the damage of property that occurred during the argument with the victim. However, the videos were not taken against the victim's wish or to fulfill his sexual desires. The photos also do not cause humiliation."

The lawyer added, "As for the charges on the assault, the defendant did not act in a coercive way. It was a passive defense. Also for the charges on the threat, he did not threaten her with the sex videos."

Meanwhile, Hara along with her roommate, and her agency CEO may be required to attend the upcoming trial as witnesses.
