The 'Grand Mint Festival 2018's official award ceremony took place back on November 11 at 'Mint Festa 61' at the KT&G Sang Sang outdoor stage.
The awards took into consideration audience votes, online votes, as well as judges' selection, with nominees from among all 55 participating artists at this year's festival.
Artists were awarded in 4 unique categories including Best Artist, Best Performance, Best Moment, and Best Rookie. Nominees for Best Artist included BoA, Sweet Sorrow, and Paul Kim; the ultimate winner turned out to be Paul Kim, who also had the honor of headlining the festival for the first time this year.
Nominees for Best Performance included Jay Park, BoA, and band Soran; BoA was awarded the title for her perfect, veteran performance. Nominees for Best Moment also included BoA, Daybreak, and Soran. BoA was able to snag a second trophy for Best Moment, recognized for causing almost the entire audience to belch along to her hit songs along with her performances.
Finally, nominees for Best Rookie included Martin Smith, SURL, and Yang Da Il; Martin Smith received the award through his first appearance at the 'Grand Mint Festival'.
Congratulations to the winners!
