Happy Face Entertainment apologized for a displeasing teaser video.
On Setepmber 6, Dream Catcher released a mystery code video for their comeback. The near 50-second clip shows encouraging messages on the 'Bridge of Life'. ('Bridge of Life' was set up to decrease suicide attempts on the Han River). The audio is filled with depressing news stories on suicide, anxiety disorders, and more.
Several fans were upset with the mystery code which seems to hint at suicide. As a result, many filed complaints to Happy Face Entertainment regarding the suicidal message. In response, the agency deleted the video and shared an apology. On Dream Catcher's official Instagram page, Happy Face Entertainment posted,
"Hello, this is Happy Face Entertainment.First of all, we want to deliver an apology to the fans who felt uncomfortable by the mystery code released earlier today. The topic of the mystery code video was 'stress', not suicide. The news coverage heard in the video are all stress-related content. We realized this method of portrayal could've been interpreted in extreme ways. Therefore, Happy Face Entertainment has deleted the video and will be more cautious from now on to prevent such incident from occurring again.Once again, we apologize to the ones who felt uncomfortable by the mystery code video. Thank you."
