Yoo Young Jin issued an apology for his illegal behavior.
He was previously been caught driving an illegal motorcycle with swapped plates. The motorcycle has not passed the environmental regulations inspection for sales in Korea, and therefore could not have a legal license plate; however, he swapped plates with another motorcycle and was ultimately caught after insurance inspections.

SM Entertainment said, "He is deeply sorry for his foolish actions and has no excuse for himself. He will be taking all responsibility without trying to avoid them. He has promised to never let something like this happen again. We are deeply sorry for causing concern to many people."
The police have submitted his case, along with the 5 executives of the company that sold him the motorcycle, to prosecutors.
