Singer Kim Jong Kook denied that he's a cheapskate.
Since he's been featured on the variety show 'My Ugly Duckling', Kim Jong Kook has made a name for himself as an ultra frugal person. On the July 27th installment of 'Entertainment Relay', he expressed, "I'm not a cheapskate. I just need less than other people. Those two things are different."
He continued, "My thrifty mindset was influenced by my father. I hear a lot that my dad could be a guest on 'Hello Counselor'. When you go #2, he decided on the amount of toilet paper squares you could use. He said toilet papers were cut into squares because it's meant to be used by the square."
Kim Jong Kook explained, "I'm not like that. It's okay because my life is wealthier now. If it's something I want, I do spend. I buy 10 of the same shorts."
