J.Y. Park spoke out against music chart manipulation and revealed JYP Entertainment as well as other agencies have been requesting investigations into suspicions.
On July 18, the JYPE head wrote on Instagram, "Suspicions of digital chart manipulation have been brought up recently, and those who are raising the suspicions and those facing suspicions are both having a hard time. We heard there's a company that's already requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism investigate. We're also discussing the matter with several other agencies, and we plan to request investigations from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism as well as the Korea Fair Trade Commission. Based on their results, we'll plan on bringing the issue to prosecution."
Yesterday, it was reported the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has been investigating Nilo's "Pass" for possible music chart manipulation, and there have also been doubts about Shaun's "Way Back Home".
