On July 30, Yiryukshared lengthy posts on Instagram announcing his departure from the idol group. Yiryukexplained his decision to leave MASC has no relation to the ongoing issue involving Chibinand ACE. He emphasized the decision is based on his dreams to become a film director.
He stated, "I had to make a decision on my future because I have to enlist in the military, am currently suffering from side effects from a major accident in 2016, and for my path as a film director. MASC is everything of my precious youth. However, I believed I could possiblycause harm considering the various situations and the reality, and my values no longer matched the ones of the agency. Therefore, I've decided to leave the group instead of taking a breakto take the time to reorganize myself."
Yiryuk added, "I also want to state that this writing right here has nothing to do with the ongoing issues among the members. This is solely my story."
On Chibin and ACE's controversy, Yiryuksaid, "I do not want to deliver stories from anyone's side or on the behalf of the agency. I will just tell as is from what I saw of the incident."
Yiyruk stated that ACE did use violence against Chibin, however, there is misinformation in the story. He stated,"No excuse can be made about ACE's actions but there was no stone wall at the place of the incident. It was just a street." He added, "Do you think the members just stood by watching? Not at all." Yiryukexplained that the members tried to stop both members from getting into a fightand that it wasn't a one-way attack. He said, "Both sideswere heated up and trying to start a fight. We quickly stopped them and there were no fists flyings."
Lastly, he asked netizens to stop spreading meaningless posts. Yiryukstated, "The meaningless posts need to stop, and if the truth needs to be revealed, then it needs to be talked out between the two people. I believe legal action needs to be taken if they want to prove themselves." He added, "I hope MASC, which was so precious to me, no longer gets hurt. I won't forget the people that have given love to MASC. Thank you."
