Yang Hyun Suk continued to answer various questions regarding YG Entertainment's upcoming promotion plans through a second Q&A. Previously, Papa YG addressed topics such as Black Pink's June comeback, 'K-Pop Star 4' winner Katie Kim, and more.
This time, Papa YG spoke up regarding Big Bang's only currently promoting member, Seungri. The head producer also denied any plans to launch any rookies in 2018.
"This year there will be several changes within YG due to Big Bang's enlistment and Psy's departure, so I vowed to push back any rookie debuts until next year to focus on iKON, WINNER, and Black Pink, including their active music releases and growth," Yang Hyun Suk said.
Regarding Seungri's solo album, Yang Hyun Suk revealed, "Seungri's 1st full album is coming in early July. This will be Seungri's first ever full album since debut, and his first solo music activity in 5 years. Furthermore, Seungri's first ever domestic solo concert is set to take place in Seoul in August. The reason Seungri's full album was prepared faster than expected was due to Seungri's straightforward energy, which no one can stop. He would send me floods of confirmation messages daily, and while I was in the hospital, unable to use my arm, it was extremely difficult to respond to his messages. (I'm 80% joking, 20% serious.) In late September, 'YG Electronics' will premiere via 'Netflix'."
The head producer also shared regarding Seungri's DJ company NHR, "NHR will be combined with YG so that YGE can provide business support for the label's DJs, in addition to targeting overseas markets by launching collaborations with various YG artists."
