During the interview, he said, "If it weren't for this album, I think I'd have ended up doing sweet songs for the rest of my life," and confessed he was trying to break the stereotype that the public had of him. He said, "There are no sweet love songs in my album. Everything is about breaking up, or the situation right before breaking up. The title song talks about the concerns people have before breaking up."

On featuring Mexico in the MV, he said, "When I heard the song 'Potion' from my album, I thought of South America right away. I thought of women in red dresses dancing tango or salsa," and�said he wanted to introduce the beautiful South America to the public.
